State Fair

The Texas State Fair is in full swing! Yesterday I was one of the judges for the annual Cheese Contest. There are four categories of entries: soups and appetizers, entrees, cheese desserts and cheese cakes. I judged cheese desserts. It was a delicious morning tasting cheese flans, cheese tortes, cheese desserts of all kinds and flavors. It was difficult to select just one winner, but we did.

Texas Treats annual holiday preview and luncheon is next week: Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We'd love for you to stop by. We're previewing some of our holiday goodies over a casual lunch. If you are able to attend, please call us at 972-516-3280, or email at admin@texastreats.com. (Just counting food!)

Just a quick reminder - be sure to sign up for the holiday contest! Rules below.

Enjoy this gorgeous weather!!

More Holiday Items Added!

Round up some memorable holiday fun! Need a small gift? How about a jar of salsa with your client's name on the label? Or a cowboy hat filled with chips and salsa? Our Little Bit of Texas Tray is just that - little tastes of Texas.

More on personalizing Salsa and Texas shape Tortilla Chip labels:
- If you are giving your gift to an individual, put the client's name on the salsa and chip labels. Your name will be printed on the gift card.
- If your gift is headed to the company kitchen to snack on, we'll be happy to print your
company name on the chip and salsa labels. That way everyone will know who sent the
wonderful tray of goodies. Your company name and greeting is also printed on the gift card
which is tied in the ribbons.

Thinking Ahead

Where has 2009 gone? It's Labor Day and soon will be time to start thinking ahead to those winter holidays. Retailers are closing out summer items and replacing them with holiday glitz! Yes, we agree - it's way too early for winter wonderland sights!
But Mama was a Girl Scout and told us to always "be prepared". With that, we would like to share a few holiday ideas with you. Starting next week and throughout September, Texas Treats will unveil holidy gift ideas, contests and fun!
Keep in touch - Adios!
