Working Hard

We're working, we're working!
Right about now we wish the day had more hours!
We're working hard to ship all your holiday corporate gifts! Calvin, our favorite UPS man, smiles on the outside, but we're sure he's groaning on the insides when he sees the piles outside our office door each day!
God Bless You, Calvin!

Honor Our Veterans

The folks here at Texas Treats are so proud of our soldiers! This past Sunday, we joined with friends and family of service members to pack over 80 holiday packages bound for the USS Sampson. We are betting the soldiers feel a warm Texas hug when they open their holiday gift boxes filled with treats, letters, and personalized chips and salsa (courtesy of Texas Treats) bearing the name of their ship!

To all veterans of our wonderful country, "Thank you so much for your service and sacrifices!"

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Holiday preparation seems to come earlier and earlier each year! At Texas Treats, we're busy creating gifts to fit corporate budgets. After Thanksgiving, our workroom will take on the festive look of Santa's workshop complete with busy elves and holiday fluff everywhere. Our dear UPS man groans when he sees the pile of boxes outside our door each day! We LOVE it!

Are you sending a box of goodies to a soldier this holiday? Texas Treats has USPS flat rate boxes filled to the brim with snacks. Our gift to our soldiers is a red stocking filled with new white socks and holiday candy. We're stuffing one in the top of each gift headed to an APO or FPO address along with our prayers and thanks.

State Fair

The Texas State Fair is in full swing! Yesterday I was one of the judges for the annual Cheese Contest. There are four categories of entries: soups and appetizers, entrees, cheese desserts and cheese cakes. I judged cheese desserts. It was a delicious morning tasting cheese flans, cheese tortes, cheese desserts of all kinds and flavors. It was difficult to select just one winner, but we did.

Texas Treats annual holiday preview and luncheon is next week: Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We'd love for you to stop by. We're previewing some of our holiday goodies over a casual lunch. If you are able to attend, please call us at 972-516-3280, or email at admin@texastreats.com. (Just counting food!)

Just a quick reminder - be sure to sign up for the holiday contest! Rules below.

Enjoy this gorgeous weather!!

More Holiday Items Added!

Round up some memorable holiday fun! Need a small gift? How about a jar of salsa with your client's name on the label? Or a cowboy hat filled with chips and salsa? Our Little Bit of Texas Tray is just that - little tastes of Texas.

More on personalizing Salsa and Texas shape Tortilla Chip labels:
- If you are giving your gift to an individual, put the client's name on the salsa and chip labels. Your name will be printed on the gift card.
- If your gift is headed to the company kitchen to snack on, we'll be happy to print your
company name on the chip and salsa labels. That way everyone will know who sent the
wonderful tray of goodies. Your company name and greeting is also printed on the gift card
which is tied in the ribbons.

Thinking Ahead

Where has 2009 gone? It's Labor Day and soon will be time to start thinking ahead to those winter holidays. Retailers are closing out summer items and replacing them with holiday glitz! Yes, we agree - it's way too early for winter wonderland sights!
But Mama was a Girl Scout and told us to always "be prepared". With that, we would like to share a few holiday ideas with you. Starting next week and throughout September, Texas Treats will unveil holidy gift ideas, contests and fun!
Keep in touch - Adios!

A new school year has begun and our lives are returning to that very scheduled existence. Summer's over, but golly, is it ever hot! Why, I do believe that an egg might actually cook on the black dashboard of my car! Speaking of frying, Texas Treats offers several kinds of tortilla chips: Texas-shaped or not, lightly salted or seasoned and in various size bags. A crunch is always a good thing to take your mind off the heat!

Dog Day's of Texas Summer

Phew! It sure has been HOT recently! Ever notice how life seems to move slower during the summer months? Schools out for the kids, people are gone on vacations in the office, and business is at a nice steady pace. Here at Texas Treats we have managed to keep busy during these slower summer days, but have also had time to have some fun in the office! Check out some of these photos of Ashleigh and myself taking a break from all of our hard work to play some cards!

Don't forget to have some fun during these HOT Texas summer days! Working would probably be a good idea too ;)

Supporting Our Troops!

Howdy again!

Starting later this afternoon, Texas Treats will be up and running with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) Online Mall. The AAFES Online Mall is made up of a group of vendors who offer special products and deals to members of the armed forces so that they can experience a little "home away from home" while they are deployed. About two-thirds of the earnings from this site help to support morale, welfare, and recreation programs for those in the armed forces. Click here for more information!

If you know anyone who could use a little piece of Texas while they're deployed overseas, please pass along this new partnership information to them!

Texas Treats continues to show our support for the women and men in uniform by offering 50% off of shipping to APO/FPO addresses, for the families and friends of members of the armed forces. In order to utilize this special offer, please call us at (972) 516-3280.

Thank you again to all of our soldiers, sailors, marines, air forcemen & women, and national guards for all that you do!

Howdy, and Welcome to Our Blog!

At Texas Treats, we know how important it is to keep up with our friends, and we want you to stay in the loop with what we're up to! We've got a lot of exciting things rolling out this year, and we want you to be the first ones "in the know".

Right now, we're still recoverin' from a holiday season that was busier than a wild hog chase! In a couple of weeks, though, on February 18th, we've got our annual tradeshow, PartyFest, to go to, so we're gettin' all geared up for that, too. PartyFest is literally a big party for everyone in the event planning industry. Vendors come in from all over to showcase their wares, and Texas Treats will be right in the middle of it! Actually, right at Booth 14 to the right of the entrance, to be exact! We'd love for ya'll to come visit us, so we've included a complimentary pass for admission at the bottom of this post! Be sure to print it off and bring it with you.

Also at PartyFest this year, we'll be handing out a free sample of our newest product, which we'll be officially "unveiling" around Texas Independence Day (March 2nd). We can't let the armadillo out of the bag just yet, but for those of you who do a lot of tradeshows and sales calls, this line of products will be right up your alley! So stop by Booth 14 at PartyFest and find out what all of our hustle & bustle is about!

We can't wait to see ya'll there! In the meantime, check Texas Treats out on our website: http://www.texastreats.com/!
